Welcome to True Ham Fashion! This is my attempt at a blog to follow my progress through the great hobby of HAM Radio.
My name is Josh, amateur radio callsign KM4AZW. I've been a licensed ham operator since 2014. I got my start by taking an introductory class through Virginia Tech and obtained my Technician class license. I dove head first into the hobby and got my General class license the following November.
A lot of people seem to think that it takes a lot of money to get into amateur radio. In the following posts I can show you how you can get the most out of the hobby for not a lot of money. By utilizing a DIY mindset and digging through your junk box, you too can do things in True Ham Fashion!
